The Breeze [debris]

Plastverket The Breeze [debris]
Over 350 million tons of plastic are produced worldwide each year, equivalent to the weight of half the planet's population in plastic. Plastic pollution floods our oceans. To highlight this issue, Plastverket The Breeze was created—a project that repurposes ocean plastic and gives it a second life.
In the summer of 2023, a temporary plastic factory was built in Frihamnen. In collaboration with Clean Sea, plastic was collected from the ocean. The public and local preschools were also encouraged to collect plastic and participate in the manufacturing process.
A total of 400 plastic rods were created, representing both the 400-year history of Gothenburg and the amount of plastic an average Gothenburg resident uses annually.
Winner of the Prototyp Göteborgs Open Call at Södra Frihamnspiren.
